More than 60 years ago, Lance and Lee Martin decided to create the first whitewater rafting outfitter on the east coast, back in 1964! Today, Wilderness Voyageurs is the largest of its kind in the region, and the Martins have gone well beyond whitewater.
The family-run company now offers kayaking, stand up paddling, fly fishing, rock climbing, Boy Scout High Adventure programs and inn to inn bike tours across the USA. And for the breaks between adventures, the Martins opened a restaurant and pub and an outfitter store in Ohiopyle.
Continuing a long tradition of providing safe, fun outdoor recreation, Wilderness Voyageurs looks forward to 60 more years of helping people live a life of adventure.
Wilderness Voyageurs is located in the borough of Ohiopyle, within the beautiful Ohiopyle State Park. We have additional rafting check-in locations in West Virginia and Maryland. For detailed directions, click on your check-in location.
Along with lots of activities to choose from, we also have plenty of other options for you to check out when you visit Ohiopyle. Once you’re on Garrett street near our central offices, you’ll see the Falls City Restaurant and Pub, the Rapid Java coffee cart, a complete outfitter store and full service fly shop, a bike repair and bike rental shop and the changing rooms and showers.
The Hall of Fame Great Allegheny Passage Rail Trail goes right through Ohiopyle, and is a favorite bicycle path for day outings and multi-day bike tours. Our bike rental shop offers hourly and day rentals, and is conveniently located right next to the GAP Trail.
