Day 1: We’ll meet you in Eugene on the first morning, where we’ll begin the ride to Corvallis along the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway. As you ride north on this moderate route, you’ll enjoy gentle rolling hills and sweeping vistas that showcase a beautiful blend of farmland, vineyards, and the tranquil Willamette River. This scenic journey offers a perfect introduction to the region’s natural charm and relaxed atmosphere.
Day 2: After a brief shuttle to Jefferson, we hop on our bikes to embark on a scenic countryside loop, featuring four of Linn County’s historic covered bridges. Along the way, the peaceful rural landscape creates a charming backdrop for our ride. Mid-ride, we pause for a well-deserved break near Larwood Covered Bridge, enjoying a relaxing lunch beside the tranquil beauty of Crabtree Creek.
Day 3: Today is a “choose your own adventure” day at Silver Falls State Park – the crown jewel of Oregon’s state parks! Located at the foothills of Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, Silver Falls is a stunning state park well known for its lush forests and dramatic waterfalls.
You have several ‘adventures’ to choose from; you might ride your bike the full Silverton Loop. Alternatively, you could take the van to Silver Falls State Park and spend the morning exploring and hiking to various waterfalls, then complete the second half of the loop biking back to Silverton in the afternoon. Or, if you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can skip the ride altogether and spend the day discovering Silver Falls State Park at your leisure.
Day 4: From one charming Oregon town to another. The day is spent riding back across the heart of the Willamette Valley with lush vineyards, a river crossing, and groves of Hazelnut orchards, toward the charming town of McMinnville, where we’ll spend two fabulous nights. McMinnville is central to the Willamette Valley and the Pinot Noir and other cool climate wine regions.
Day 5: After a brief shuttle to breakfast in Carlton, you’ll set out on your bikes for a scenic morning journey through the lush farmland. Returning to Carlton for lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to sample local wines before enjoying a leisurely afternoon back in McMinnville. Back in downtown McMinnville, find yourself surrounded by more than 20 walkable craft beverage tasting rooms, each offering a unique sample of the finest wines. While ambling between tasting rooms, be sure to visit the bustling McMinnville Farmers Market, the perfect place to find a special memento from the trip.
Day 6: Our final day! This scenic loop from McMinnville meanders through the countryside and offers sweeping views of the Coastal Range to the west. If you’re interested, an optional short hike to Erratic Rock State Site rewards you with breathtaking vistas of the valley below and Mount Hood to the northwest. After the ride, we’ll clean up and enjoy a relaxing lunch before shuttling back to Eugene to bid our final farewells!
